3 Reasons to Invest in a Premium Domain Name

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 7:28 AM 0 comments

It’s no secret that economic times are tight, and it’s quite possible that no group is more profoundly affected than small business owners. Every penny counts these days, and it’s important that every investment yield a significant return. So in this economic situation, why would you even consider paying top dollar for a premium domain name? The answer is that premium domain names, also called “simple domain names,” can make a huge difference for your business.

What is a premium domain name, you ask? A premium domain name is a domain name that was registered at one time but is now available again. Shrewd business owners bought up the most intuitively-named domains long ago such as pizza.com and flowers.com. But owners of these domain names are now willing to part with them for the right price. Some domain names have gone for as much as $7 million, but many are available for anywhere from several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.

Given the amount that a domain name can cost, why would you choose to pay for a premium domain name? Here are 3 reasons.

1. Instant Branding. When you use a premium domain name, you automatically brand yourself. Not only will your domain name be a breeze to remember, but people will instantly associate your product with your name. If your domain name is vodka.com, you won’t need to spend much time trying to educate your potential customers about the nature of your product.

2. Increase Search Engine Ranking. Search engines take into account the relevance of your domain name to your product or service, so the easier it is to associate your domain name to your product, the higher your search engine ranking will be.

3. Increased Traffic. Direct navigation occurs when an internet user types a search word directly into the browser address line rather than using a search engine. So if a person types “shoes.com” into the address line, comes up with your website, and clicks the link to your site, that user has navigated directly to your site. As you might imagine, having a premium domain name can make a huge difference in the amount of traffic that comes to your site via direct navigation. And you didn’t spend a single penny on marketing that would direct that user to your site!

When you consider the fact that 80% of adults in the United States use the internet regularly, it seems like a good investment to spend whatever it takes to purchase a premium domain name.

If you’re a small business owner, consider the possibility of purchasing a premium domain name and set some of your marketing budget aside to do so. Go to the website “register.com” to see if there is a domain name available that is relevant to your product or service, and then do some research to see what kind of return on your investment you might see if you purchase that domain name. If this kind of research seems overwhelming, consider consulting an internet marketing professional to help you determine whether a premium domain name is a worthwhile investment for your business. An internet marketing professional can also help you access search tools that will tell you which domain names will benefit you the most.

Although it seems like a big investment, purchasing a premium domain name can make a huge difference in the success of your business. A premium domain name will allow you to cut down on marketing spending in the long run, it will increase your search engine rankings, and it will help potential customers associate your business with your name. Consider the investment. It may be well worth it!

What is Reseller Hosting?

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 7:16 AM 0 comments

Reseller hosting - it is the special type of hosting service package, which can separate the carrying capacity of channel and disk space of hosting account, and gives possibility to resell it to other persons as separate accounts. It means actually, that a provider can purchase the large volume of space on a server, and then to separate it to resell it to other users. Remarkable that during the work with this package there is no need to be keen in technical sphere, therefore practically each, who feels in the Internet, close as an oyster in water, has possibility to begin the own business.

Conception of the reseller hosting is aggressive industry. Principal reason consists in the comparatively small amount of capital investments of businessman for the beginning of work in this area. As a rule, this service package is used by small companies or private individuals which want to create small hosting company. In addition, it is chosen by developers, designers and Internet consultants. From point of cost, it is acceptable, especially for web masters, which want to manage and place a few sites on a separate control panel. Hosting resseling has all chances to become very profitable with planning of the expenses and incomes. Resellers can provide individual hosting packages on an order, which can not be offered by other hosting service providers. Moreover, resellers can better control quality of services, because they can choose a server.

More Profits in Your Website Hosting Business

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 6:55 AM 0 comments

If you run a website hosting business, you already know the challenges in the business. Thousands of competitors are just a click away, ready to undercut your price.

Potential customers see hosting as a commodity and shop by price. Several directories like Host review, Ace hosts and Host index make it easy to comparison shop.

How can you get more profits from your business under these conditions?

FIRST, GET THE CUSTOMER

Calculate the lifetime value of your customer. For example, let's say the average customer stays with you for 15 months and pays 16.95 a month. That means their lifetime value to your company is $254.25. So every customer you acquire makes your business (on average) $254.25.

If a visitor comes to your website, then leaves to comparison shop, you have more than likely lost that sale. Have you invested in sales copy that compels your visitors to buy from you? Does your website help him to see that you are the best choice for his situation? Showcase your credibility, guarantee services and offer incentives to try your service. Make it easy to buy from you.

NEXT, KEEP THE CUSTOMER

Because each customer is hard-won and the value of the customer is so high, you'll want to make sure you have the support services that keep your customers happy.

Once a customer leaves you for another website host, he's gone forever. You probably already make customer service a priority, with email answered in a timely fashion and well-trained technical support. Go the extra mile. Don't wait for customers to contact you. Ask your customer how you're doing.

THEN, SELL MORE TO THE CUSTOMER

The customer has already bought from you. There is familiarity and trust. You can easily offer complimentary items to your current customer list.

The major concern of your customer is how to succeed online. It's easy to offer online marketing tools, e books and additional services. It can be as simple as joining an affiliate program for an item your customer may need, then making him aware of the item.

Focus on these 3 areas, getting the customer, keeping the customer and selling more to him. You'll enjoy higher profits in your website hosting business.

3 Important factors you must consider before choosing your web hosting provider!

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 6:12 AM 0 comments

If you are planning to transfer your business online, or even will start your business on the internet from scratch, the first thing you will face is: where you will host your websites? and if you are new to this area (web hosting), you will find yourself a bit confused about many web hosting terminology, so it'll be very important to you to understand these terms before you take your decision.

Here, I will mention to the most important factors you must take in consideration:

1. Bandwidth: (data transfer) is measured in gigabytes. A gigabyte is one billion bytes. Each letter is one byte. Images can take up a big amount of kilobytes (thousands of bytes), and file downloads can be several megabytes (millions of bytes) in size. You must logically think of how much bandwidth your website will need. Unless your website has a lot of downloads, it will be unlikely that you will need many gigabytes of transfer - 10 gigabytes should be very enough. Any more, and you will just be paying extra for something to use.

On that note though, you should be careful and make sure you always have some extra bandwidth - many hosting providers charge $3.00 and more for every extra gigabyte of bandwidth you use. That can add up very quickly

2. # Of hosted domains allowed: One of the most important factors which must be taken into account when choosing your hosting provider is the number of websites that allow you to host on a single account, some hosting companies allow only for one domain per account, some other companies will allow you to host an unlimited websites per one account, meaning several website at the expense of one.

If you are serious about your business on the Internet then you must be aware of the fact that you will sooner or later will need to launch more websites to expand your business to high levels. Therefore it is important to take this point into consideration where you will remove the burden of purchasing additional web hosting accounts to host the new websites in the future.

3. Control Panel: Before you buy a web hosting plan, ask the hosting company show you a demo for the control panel from which you will administrate your hosting account. Control panel is the place where you can check your website visitor statistics, add or erase email accounts, host additional domains on your account, install scripts and make other nominal changes for your website. Control panel should be easy to use with friendly interface and you should take some time to understand what it is all about before purchasing your hosting plan.

Web Hosting, PHP vs ASP

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 5:54 AM 0 comments

Web pages used to be simple affairs, where everything you needed to do could be done in HTML, there was really one set of rules and one set of expectations. Today's world is far more complex.

Web pages can be more complex and customers expect more from web pages. Terms like PHP and ASP now compete with HTML when starting a web page and it can be hard to figure out what option best suits your needs.

If you've ever driven an import car, you can appreciate the importance of being able to find support that meet your needs, if you're going to kick the tires with your website and turn it into something exception, having a large community that can support you is critical.

PHP, Personal Home Pages has more support on the internet than ASP - Active Server Pages. The larger user base gives you more allies; more people who can help you develop your own talents and your website.

Another advantage of PHP is that it's based on unix, giving it more cross platform capability than ASP as increasing demands of Microsoft's operating systems level the cost playing field between Microsoft products and Apple, this is ever more important.

And did we mention that in the grand tradition of unix, PHP is free, while ASP needs support software that isn't? For add-ons and additional tools, PHP's open source has a strong base of free tools, whereas ASP demands that you purchase these tools.

You can find help for your PHP programming from free to paid. Most professional ASP support is very expensive by comparison.

Also, you have to consider the costs associated with a web hosting on Windows Server compared to Linux Servers. For most cases, you will notice a substantial difference in prices.

Not only that, but Windows severs do tend to be unstable and prone to failures, are more likely to be attacked by viruses, Trojans and exploits. Linux servers on the other hand are much more stable and the attacks windows servers suffer in a daily basis are non-existent in Linux.

If you are considering either a dedicated server or a shared hosting, your fist choice should be Linux. I've yet to find a problem that can't be solved using PHP and Linux.

With all this, you might wonder why ASP still is out there at all. Part of it stems from ASP being based on the same methodology that's used to make macros in other Microsoft products.

People that have invested the time learning how to use macros in Word or Excel will be more comfortable using ASP. PHP is based on C++, a robust computer programming language.

Before this intimidates you, the free tools that exist out there allow for a lot of this to be hidden, until you're ready to take advantage of the power behind PHP.

Putting it all together, the power, the cost, flexibility, stability and support of PHP is far superior to that of ASP. If you're going to commit to building the best web page you can, commit to using the best tools you can.

Investing in learning PHP will pay off when you're able to pop the hood, invite your friends over and transform your web page from a normal, average, page to a sophisticated and highly toned performance page.

Multiple Domain Hosting

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 5:38 AM 0 comments

You own a company or are in the initial stage of opening one and planning to make your presence feel worldwide. So what should be better option than this, that you give your company advertisement in the net? Yes, it has become a trend now to possess one website all dedicated towards the services provided by your company. Via net you can target much larger group of customers. For this there are various companies who provide you the domain name and IP address for your website. But for this they charge you annually and you have to register with them first. Till recently there used to be one domain name per account but with the increasing demand and spread of business there started multiple domain hosting per account.

Details of Multiple Domain Hosting - Its Advantages and Disadvantages
Multiple domain hosting- as the name suggests, is basically the service provided by IP address service providers who have now started providing more domain addresses per user account. In Multiple domain hosting the disk space is more and so you can put in as large as 999 domains addresses all working through a single account. Multiple domain hosting can easily be depicted as a tree with its several branches in lieu of the fact that the main service provider remains the same, but the several addresses that are availed act as the branches of the tree all sharing the same goodies of the service provider. You have to pay for just one account and pay the rest of the addresses as add on(s) only. The add on(s) are very nominal in compare to the main account charges, so with even having say- 100 accounts you have to just pay a dime and hence by will save a fortune. Not only this, with registration of the extra websites with the same service provider you need not worry ever, because with time you have already tested the quality of the service provided so you can rely easily on them with respect to quality output in service.

Everything has two sides of a coin. Server is a major earning factor when it comes to internet. Time is money in today’s fast track world. People close the site and go away if the site takes longer time to open. Every click is a potential customer when it comes to internet marketing. So server down can be a blow to your business if all your sites are from the same service provider. It is upon you to research in detail before you can conclude on anything important. Net provides you innumerable sites that publish a lot of articles related to multiple domain hosting.

Helpful Tips for Getting Sales Leads for Your Business

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 2:19 PM 0 comments

Do a search online for ways to find or generate leads and you will get a lot of results. In fact, that might be how you learned about programs that let you search thousands of websites at once; classified websites are a great way to increase your client base. Having many choices is nice, but it can hinder your ability to find and covert leads. So when it comes to finding or generating sales leads, what should you keep in mind?

Tip #1 – Don't Pay Someone to Generate Leads for You

It is important to first note that there are some great professional leads finders out there. Some companies will hand you a list of leads that are targeted to your wants and needs. The problem comes from the cost. You could easily find yourself paying thousands of dollars a month!

Tip #2 – Research If You Opt To Pay Someone to Generate Leads

We aren't completely against hiring a professional to find leads for you (but why do it when you can easily generate your own leads for much less). However, if you do decide to hire a professional, do some fact checking first. Some companies have a history of selling a year old list they bought from someone else!

Often times, you won't find out until it is too late that you basically wasted your money. When you use classified searching websites to make your own list, you don't have to worry. You generate your leads and see the posts or expresses of interests made online; you get more than just a list of emails or phone numbers.

Tip #3 – Never Buy Sales Leads on a Disc

Let me tell you a little story, I was doing a little bit of research for some keyword articles I was writing. Here there over 30 people in the last month who searched for "buy sales leads on disc." Why should you avoid this? Because it just screams old and outdated information.

Rarely will you find a company or an individual who is willing to search for updated leads, burn them to a CD, and them mail them out. Most of these so-called CDs filled with leads are already prepacked. Yes, a list of phone number is leads, but don't you want targeted and viable sales leads?

If trying to find people looking to buy the cars you have for sale, you want to make contact right away before they do buy a car. In this instance, leads that are even a month old can be way too old.

Three way to Earn Money Online

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 2:06 PM 0 comments

I will be revealing to you three ways which you can use to make money online. They have been tried and proven to earn money online for people who tried it out. Some of the ways require you to have a form of capital while the rest of other ways are free. As most people will tell you that nothing good comes free, you need to think twice so you will not end up paying more than you would have assuming you went for a paid stuff. The ways to make money online are:

1. Affiliate marketing: affiliate marketing is a system of promoting the products and services of a company in return for some percentage whenever a customer you refer buys their product or use their service. They are companies online, usually referred to as affiliate programs, that will pay you for sending customers to their site and when that customer makes a purchase you will end up making some percentage of the profit they make from the product. Some of these companies are clickbank, eBay, amazon, cj, shareasale, moreniche etc.

2. Forex trading: forex trading is a system of trading currencies online. It is simply a method of selling or buying one currency for other currency with the hope that the currency you bought or sold will raise in order to make some profit, usually referred to as pips. The currencies involved are USD, AUD, GBP, EUR, JEN, Swiss franc etc. In order to trade a currency online, you will need a stock broker. We have hundred of stock brokers which offer this service. You will be allowed to download their forex trading platform which you can use to begin buying or selling currency. This system is among the most risky means to make money online. You should be careful and only place a trade when you know the market is likely to favor you. You will need capital to execute this business.

3. Paid survey: this is another method to make money online. It is simply a method of getting paid for your opinion. It is one of the easiest methods to make money online. You simply answer a couple of survey and you are paid. It may sound so simple, but not as you see it. This is so because legitimate survey sites are hard to come by, you will mostly see scam survey sites when you use the search engines. The surveys you will be taking are provided by big companies like beverages, shoes, games etc. These companies perform market research from time to time in order to get the opinions of people concerning their products. For example, if Pepsi wants to known the opinions of people concerning their drink, they will do so through paid survey in order to see if their product needs improvement or not.

You can easily make about $100 or more per week doing paid surveys. There are hundreds of honest paid surveys you can find on the net that pays through PayPal or check. You will need to use a third party company in order to get the best out of paid survey.

Equipment You May Need For An Internet Home Business

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 1:39 PM 0 comments

An Internet home business requires specialized equipment, systems and software to ensure that you are able to provide the level of service to your customers for the type of business you are running. We will review some of the areas that readers may want to consider in this short article.

The type of business that you set up will dictate the equipment you need, the software you may need to acquire and the services that are needed to ensure your success. We will review in general the areas that you need to consider to ensure that you can be successful in your business initiatives. The basics will include a space to work that is comfortable and free of distractions. Sufficient electrical power and access to a high speed connection provided by either the phone company, the cable company or via satellite is an absolute necessity for productivity purposes.

If you are planning to have several computers at your home, with or without employees a combination router / Ethernet local area network is also required. These devices are quite inexpensive and also provide firewall capabilities to protect your systems from intrusion by hackers. These routers are connected to the high speed modem and provide Ethernet to your computers and printers that you plan to network. They also come in hard wired or wireless varieties. Wireless varieties allow you to spread your computers throughout your office without needing to worry about cabling.

Next you will need to add items such as printers, scanners, cameras or whatever devices are required for your business. Associated software will need to be acquired, since most computer systems do not come with the necessary software. Depending on your business you may need spreadsheet, word, powerpoint, accounting, graphics, html and a host of other software applications.

Since you are introducing an online internet home business, you will also need other capabilities that are only available online. These may include domain names, web hosting systems, traffic reporting, visitor information, billing systems and so on. Billing is particularly important since this is how you get paid. Billing can be accomplished via systems such as Paypal or other credit card systems. If you are expecting high volume, be sure to acquire systems that will automatically invoice the customer, collect the fees, fulfill the order and deposit your funds into the appropriate account all without intervention on your part. Sales volumes can be managed well with systems such as this.

Finally, your selection of hosting and billing systems should be given special consideration. You may find an inexpensive hosting company, however if they do not reliably provide 24/7 service with low downtime of less than .001 percent, this can and will impact your business revenues. Select these systems with care.

Web 2.0 and Online Business

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 1:11 PM 0 comments

Web 2.0 as a concept has become big in the Internet world, but this phenomenon has yet to make large impact on conservative business segment like e Commerce. Over the coming months this is going to change as more and more online shopping sites are embracing Ajax based technology and other Web 2.0 ideas. The originator of the Web 2.0 describes this term to define new generation websites that use collective contribution, social networking, tagging, open APIs, remix, etc.

Ajax, a short name for a combination of website developing technologies and a key instrument of Web 2.0 concept, is used to create web applications with enhanced usability, interactivity and speediness. Present e Commerce sites are also in a position to reap similar benefits.

Below are listed the primary reasons for visitors to abandon a shopping cart and possible ways of dealing with it.

1. Cost of shipping too high and not shown until checkout

This seems to be the number one reason for most of the people to abandon a shopping cart. The first step you need to take here has nothing to do with technology. You have to understand that people are not willing to pay extra on top of the real shipping and handling charge. People are not stupid! They have more or less rough idea, how much shipping might cost. That's why keep shipping and handling costs really low or at least reasonable! The second step which can radically improve your conversion rate is the use of new technology to keep the shopping cart with all its content visible at the right upper side of the page presently visited. Once a new item is added to the cart, all calculations will take place right away without reloading the page or the cart. If you feel that shipping and handling costs could be crucial in buying decision, once the first item is added the system will ask for visitor's zip code and automatically calculate the final price.

2. Changed mind and discarded cart content

In this case, unfortunately, you can't do much! However, if your site automatically saves the content of the cart, there is a chance that the same buyer might come back and continue shopping. Analysis of the exit page of the visitor might also help you determine the reason why he or she has left.

3. Comparison shopping or browsing

Apart from monitoring your competitors' sites and keeping your offers aggressive, you should also create a site with better functionalities and contents than your competitors.

4. Total cost of items is too high

Again, if the cart is constantly visible with the final price always calculated automatically, the buyer will be able to take a more informative decision.

5. Saving items for later purchase

The moment an item is added to the cart, it should be saved automatically without reloading the page. If the buyer is not logged in, upon exit request the buyer to register with just login and password, explaining that this way she can come back and continue shopping on your site.

6. Checkout process is too long

If you have a shopping cart as described earlier all the buyer will need to do is click to check out. A simple form with minimum information needed to execute the check out process will appear upon checking out. The filling out of this form should be the final step of the buying process.

7. Out of stock products at checkout time

The functionalities of the cart, as described earlier, will let the buyer immediately know whether the product is available.

8. Checkout requires too much personal information

The Web 1.0 e Commerce sites collect a lot of information about the customer, which presumably help get marketing data. These days, online customers are not willing to reveal more than necessary information for nothing. Avoid the temptation to ask questions unrelated to check out. All you need is name, shipping and billing address and credit card information. That's it!

9. Poor site navigation and long download times

With the help of above mentioned technologies you will be able to increase interactivity, speed and better navigation experience many folds.

10. Lack of sufficient product or contact information

Your contact telephone numbers should be always visible! Use A form or wizard based product adding system. This will help you not to forget crucial information related to an item when you add it to your database.

Of course there are other minor reasons why visitors abandon a shopping cart, but if you make over your e Commerce site with the help Web 2.0 technologies many of these issues will also disappear.

M-Commerce and E-Commerce

Posted by easy.kalam@gmail.com on 12:59 PM 0 comments

M-Commerce is the part of E-Commerce but E-Commerce is limited only in those areas where we have internet connectivity. But M-Commerce, as we can see from its name, can be used anywhere. These wireless hand held devices can be connected to the internet through satellite and other means anywhere and at anytime. As it is stated that M-Commerce is mostly connected through the satellite, we can, therefore, also have video and audio conferencing by the help of the devices used for the M-Commerce. In E-Commerce, we too can have video and audio conferences but unlike that of M-Commerce, we do need to have the internet connectivity, which is not possible everywhere. This means that if we are at a place where we do not have access to the internet, so we can not do anything. M-Commerce has become blessing for the people in many ways. As content delivery over wireless devices becomes faster, reliable, more secure, and scalable, there is wide speculation that M-Commerce will surpass wire line E-Commerce as the method of choice for digital commerce transactions. Both Business to Business (B 2 B) and Business to Consumer (B 2 C) E-Commerce transactions can take place using M-Commerce technology.

Some major challenges of M-Commerce: Beside the fact that M-Commerce is a blessing for everyone in this generation, like all others things, there are some limitations and challenges to it as well. Although, these challenges and limitations can easily be changed into blessings, but still these are limitations for many of its users. These challenges are mentioned below:

1. The keyboards and screens are tiny and awkward for a new user to use. In fact, only a part of the screen is visible at a time on these devices.

2. Sometimes, the data transferring speeds on existing wireless networks is slow.

3. Each second waiting for data to download costs the customer money. Therefore, it is too much expensive to use.

4. Most wireless hand held devices have limited memory and power supply i.e. the memory is only expendable to a small extent while these devices are mostly used on battery which may need to be charged quite often.

These limitations and challenges may become a disgrace to the user but still these can not be avoided in any case and the user has to bare these any how.

Some Major Differences between E-Commerce & M-Commerce:

1. M-Commerce keeps us in touch with the world wireless by the help of satellites no matter where ever we are but E-Commerce usually does not do that. It normally needs to be connected to internet by the help of wires.

2. M-Commerce is always reliable and easy to access as compared to E-Commerce.

3. Wireless Hand held devices are easy to carry anywhere because of very low weight.

We can finally conclude that M-Commerce is basically a blessing for everyone. No matter, it too has some limitations and challenges, one can not deny from the importance of M-Commerce that has abridged the gaps between everyone especially for the trade and business.

E-Business

There are many ways to leverage the Internet in business, so start with what you do best. For example, if you are known for putting out an excellent newsletter in print, make your first e-business application an online newsletter. Surprisingly enough, in many cases this will also help to increase your overall circulation.

Building traffic is much easier when you carefully select your target audience. While there are some exceptions to this rule, a focused approach to promotion usually wins the traffic war. For example, let's say you run a small hardware store and you want to conduct business over the web. If you focus on luring the masses to your site using search words such as "hardware" or "do-it-yourself", you will find that you compete with many hardware stores. However, if you focus on providing a specific product line, such as paintbrushes to a very focused target market, your odds of succeeding skyrocket. My Yahoo search on hardware stores turned up 146 hits; wholesale paint suppliers 41 hits; and wholesale paintbrush suppliers just 1 hit. So, you have to ask yourself, do I want to fight for traffic with 146, 41 or 0 other sites?

Design with promotion in mind. If you design your site without taking promotion into consideration you may inadvertently derail your promotion efforts before they begin. One example of this can be seen when you redirect traffic based upon the site visitor. Incorporating a URL redirect to personalize the site visitor's experience can help you earn kudos with your visitors. This could also cause great site promotion problems because some search engines reject sites that immediately redirect visitors. You can compensate for this, but it's much easier to do so during the design phase.

Be the master of your domain. Build your site and promote your site using a domain name that you own. At some point you may have to part ways with your hosting service provider, which means, if you don't own your domain name, you may also have to say goodbye to your traffic. If you do own your domain name, the ability to relocate the traffic you worked hard to build is not left in the hands of your hosting service provider.
